Bangkok’s new airport opens offering exciting stop-over options for
travellers
The airport is set to become one of the world’s most important aviation
hubs, and with Bangkok a key hub for flights to Europe, the Middle East,
the Indochina region and the rest of Asia, the airport opening will have
particular significance for travellers from Australia. In particular, it
will open up new stop-over destinations in Thailand, such as
Pattaya, which will now be
just 1½ hours from
Suvarnabhumi Airport. |

TAT creates a campaign to make ‘Thailand Unforgettable’
Thailand has long been seen to be one of the top ten destinations for
sun drenched holidays and fun filled nightlife for those from the Asia
Pacific, but the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is aiming to expand
on this by creating a strategy to achieve a target of 13.8 million
visitors from destinations around the world in 2006 – brand building.
