1 The Royal Gems Golf & Sport Club This is a 'gem' of a course within a one hour drive from central Bangkok. Playing to 6,511 yards from the white tees, this tough par 72 layout features deep blue lakes, wide and narrow fairways, deep rough, big bunkers and huge greens.
2   Thai Country Club Home of the 1997 Asian Honda Classic tournament, this magnificently redesigned members-only course is destined to become the setting for more of Asia's premier events. The seashore paspalum grass that was imported from Hawaii has been cultured locally making the course second to none. The clubhouse facilities are luxurious and managed by the world-famous Peninsula Group.
3   Watermill Golf & Gardens Watermill Golf & Gardens is an 18 hole course located about an hour and a half from central Bangkok and 40 km from Don Muang International Airport, on the way to Nakhon Nayok from Rangsit via route 305.
3   Rajpruek Club The course features several dog leg holes and clever placement of water hazards and bunkers. The second shot at the 18th crwates a dramatic finish.
5   Lakewood Country Club Conveniently situated just outside of Bangkok at the 18km of the Bang-na Trad highway, this course is aptly named, as it comprises "Lake'', "Wood'' and "Rock'' nines. The relatively flat terrain is enhanced by a profusion of hazards, flowers and shrubs. Water features on twenty-two of the twenty-seven holes and the course is well-known for its dog-legs.
6   Mission Hills Golf Club (Kanchanaburi) Set on a sloping shallow hill, mature palms line the fairways of this outstanding course that relies on water, sand, trees and - Nicklaus' specialty - waste bunkers for hazards. The course has a choice of five well-spaced tees for players to choose from and provides luxurious accommodation in its lakeside lodges.
6   Rooks Khorat Country Club Golf & Resort This is a very pretty inland course surrounded by mature woodland. From the blue tees the par fours are challenging and the layout is a fair test for those with a good handicap. There is a golf lodge at the course and the clubhouse facilities are good. This is an ideal place for families to stay amid the beautiful countryside.
6   Blue Canyon Country Club Canyon Course This beautiful course hosted Thailand's leading golf tournament, the Johnnie Walker Classic in 1994 and 1998. Its most famous holes are the par-three 14th (island), where players have to hit a perfect tee shot onto an island, and the par-four 13th (the Canyon) where players have to use a hard drive to clear the obstacle.
9   Palm Hills Resort & Country Club Set against a beautiful backdrop of Petchaburi's mountain range and some amazing views of the Gulf of Thailand. Separated by a rocky outcrop that extends from the mountain range, the course runs from east to west with lakes at each end and incorporates fast greens with some very tricky burrows.
10   Royal Bangkok Sport Club Tight, short course, yet a score of 55 has been achieved. Has its own special layout on horse racing days.
11   Alpine Golf & Sports Club This course is located less than an hour from central Bangkok, past Don Muang International Airport. A superbly maintained and challenging course owned by the members, the site was used as the venue for the 13th Asian Games and was recently refurbished in order to play host to the 2000 Johnny Walker Classic.
12   Voyage Panorama Resort & Golf Club The course here follows the natural contours of the terrain, taking advantage of a mountain rimmed valley. Set in pleasant rolling countryside the course is often pleasantly breezy.
13   Lam Lukka Country Club Located 27 km east of Don Muang International Airport, this popular 36 hole course used Bangkok's early paddy-field courses as its role model. It contains many wide fairways and large greens and a lot of effort went into creating a pleasantly shaded atmosphere with plenty of trees and shrubs. Accuracy - not power - is the key to this course.
14   Rose Garden Golf Club One of the most striking aspects of the course itself is its imaginative design. Natural and man-made features are creatively interwoven to give each hole its own individual charm and challenge. Off the regular tees, there is every prospect of par for the steady, thinking player.
15   The Royal Golf & Country Club Located within metropolitan Bangkok about 26 km down Sukhumvit Soi 77, this course is about 30 minutes from central Bangkok. The wide, undulating fairways and spacious greens make golfing here a pleasure for all standards of golfer. However, bring flippers and a snorkel as water comes into play on 17 of the 18 holes!
16   Santiburi Country Club Surrounded by distant hills, the golf course and housing development is set on low hilly land. Most greens are well protected by bunkers and there are several very good dog-leg holes, particularly the par-5 eighteenth, where players have to negotiate water on the right side of the fairway on the approach shot to the green.
16   Subhapruek Country Club Formerly known as the Bangna Country Club, this conveniently-located course is very popular with Bangkok based golfers. Fairways are lined with palm trees and water comes into play on almost every hole. This is definitely not a course for hookers and a shorter, controlled game will generally prevail over a long, errant one.
18   Treasure Hill Golf Club A semi-private club set in pleasant open countryside.
18   Krungthep Kreetha Sports Club One of the older and more exclusive Bangkok private members courses, Krungthep Kreetha Sports Club has a very pretty layout and has recently been rebuilt and is more accommodating to guests. The course is challenging and well-maintained, with several hidden water hazards and numerous OBs on the course. Trees run alongside nearly every fairway call for accurate tee shots.
20   Khao Kheaw Country Club This 27-hole course is situated along Route 36 heading towards Pattaya, and takes about 80 minutes to reach from central Bangkok. Like so many of the Eastern Seaboard's courses, it catches a strong breeze so players have to plan their shots carefully on account of the numerous large ponds, bunkers and hills that surround the greens and fairways.
20   The Royal Hua Hin Golf Club Although, the Royal Hua Hin Golf Club first opened in 1924, major renovations were only carried out in the 1980s that brought the club up to present day standards. A round here is a truly unforgettable experience as players are continually faced with majestic views of the Gulf of Thailand.

  • The course is located at the periphery of the triangle Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - Hua Hin. It can be included while traveling between any of these places. From Bangkok take Route 35 until reaching No. 4. In direction to Ratchaburi turn left at the first traffic light and after 20 km left into the country side. Driving time about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

    "Total Nature-Experience". Beautiful environment, especially the "back nine". This course undoubtedly belongs to the more sophisticated courses, the par 4 and par 5 are quite long, added with well placed hazards and slopy greens.

  • A Jack Nicklaus masterpiece, the 'East course' opened in 1993 and is the first 18 holes of a planned 36 holes. Designed and maintained to the highest international standards, it is recognized as one of the premier golfing resorts in Thailand and was the venue for the 2000 Thailand Open.

  • A local, Dr. Sukitti Klangvisai, designed this 18 hole course in over 600 acres of land. The Majestic Creek golf course is also one of the country's leading golf centers with the inclusion of artful landscape design with palms and Casurina trees. A large staff of green keepers ensures that the fairways and greens are always maintained in absolutely perfect condition.

  • Palm Hills was the first of a new generation of courses to open in 1991. And was the first course in Hua Hin to stage the Thailand World Pro Am in 1993 gaining much praise from the British PGA.

  • Located a 30 minute drive north from Hua Hin, this 27 hole, par 72 was designed by Roger Packard. The course stretches over an area of 1,500 acres of land and is a good championship length of more than 6,900 yards from the back tees.

  • Former Milford the newly named Hua Hin Seoul Country Club offers a change from the longer championship courses, Fantastic sea views are one of the features of this unique layout where accuracy and placement are more important than length to score well.
